Brendan Patrick Rice [2] (built-in March 11, 1997), better known by his stage name Gus Dapperton, is an American singer and songwriter from Warwick, New York.

Dapperton has received particular attending for his mode style, consisting at some points of a greenish bowl cut, noticeable jewelry, eyeliner, brightly colored vesture, and thick-rimmed glasses.[iii] [4]
Dapperton's vocal "Of Lacking Spectacle" was featured on the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why and appears on the soundtrack album.[5] [ better source needed ]

2016–17: "Moodna, In one case With Grace" and Yellow and Such [edit]
Gus Dapperton released his debut single, "Moodna, In one case With Grace", in 2016. In 2017, Dapperton released his debut EP, Yellow and Such.
2018: Y'all Think Yous're A Comic! [edit]
In 2018, Dapperton released his second EP, You Think You're A Comic!.[6]
2019: Where Polly People Go to Read [edit]
In 2019, Dapperton released his debut anthology, Where Polly People Go to Read.[seven] The album received positive reviews from critics.
2020–present: Orca [edit]
Dapperton'south second studio album, Orca, was released on September 18, 2020. He released 4 singles, "First Help", "Post Humorous", "Medicine", and "Bluebird", prior to the anthology'southward release. This anthology features only one artist other than Dapperton, Filipino Australian artist Chela on the track "My Say And so", during the span and background vocals.[8]
On April vii, 2021, Dapperton released a remix version of "Palms" every bit the album 5th single, featuring American rapper Aqueduct Tres. The remix was included on the deluxe version of the album which was released on June 11, 2021. The deluxe version also includes iii new songs: "Sober Up", "Flatline" and "Steady", in which the erstwhile was released as the sixth single of Orca era.[9]

Dapperton attended Drexel University, but took a semester off to go along tour in support of his 2018 EP Y'all Think You're a Comic!.[10] [xi]
